After decades of delays, work is officially back underway at the Ury Estate in Aberdeenshire. Project founder Jonathan Milne recently confirmed that the Jack Nicklaus signature championship course is being shaped, with a full opening scheduled for late 2027. The development, which Jack Nicklaus visited personally last autumn, will feature a “pay-and-play” element alongside luxury housing and the restoration of Ury Castle.
“Our intention is to make a fantastic golf course… with the ancient woodland, and the rivers, and the burns, and the castle, and all these other things, it’d be as much a treat to play the golf course as to go for a walk in the countryside.” — Jonathan Milne, Founder of FM Group
