Jack Nicklaus, US golfing legend, has been made an honorary citizen of St Andrews. The 18-time major winner, nicknamed the Golden Bear, twice won the Open Championship at the Home of Golf in 1970 and 1978. He is expected to be presented with his latest honour in St Andrews during the week of the postponed 150th Open Championship in July, followed by a pipes and drums procession through the town. Mr Nicklaus noted that he was “deeply honoured and delighted” to accept this honour.
